There is a Navy tradition that the cake is cut by the oldest and youngest of the Navy Career Officers. Cutting the cake on October 11th is Lt. Commander Howard Thomas (oldest) and Lt. Commander Ed Sellards (youngest).
Mark Boyll did a presentation on "Celebrating 250 Years of Navy Tradition" at the museum, followed by the cake cutting. Mark retired as a Commander from the U.S. Navy after 41 years of service.
