Pioneer Camp: Canceled 2020 Due to COVID-19
Young people participating in “Pioneer Camp” come away with a deeper understanding of our past….AND have FUN in the process of hands-on learning!
A few of our sponsors in the past have been ExxonMobil, Wal-mart, Inc., Borden, Inc., H-E-B, Inc., Kroger and many of our board members who volunteer their time, money and talents.
Pioneer Camp activities that we are preparing are butter churnin’ facepaintin’, grindin’ and corn shellin’, an indian artifacts demonstration (includin’ arrowheads), sawin’ logs, washin’ clothes on an old wringer washing machine, observin’ a beekeeper, and so much more!
These five days are filled with information, activities, reenactments, projects, games, special guests and snacks all relating to the way pioneers lived, worked and played together.
